Terms of Service

1. Who we are

ANCCONNECT Subtitles is a service of ANCCONNECT LIMITED, a company registered in Nigeria ("we", "us"). Contact: info@anconnect.com.ng.

2. The service

You upload subtitle files (.srt) and we return them translated into Hausa. Translations are made automatically with artificial intelligence (Google Gemini). They can contain mistakes; check them before you publish or share them.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and give a working email address. You are responsible for your password and for everything done with your account.

For now the service is not offered to people in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, because the translation service we currently use is not available for users there.

4. Your files

• Only upload subtitles you have the right to use and translate.
• Upload film and TV subtitles only. Do not upload files with personal or confidential information: we currently use Google's free translation service, under which Google may use and read the text (see the Privacy Policy).
• Do not upload content that is illegal, or that promotes violence, hatred or the abuse of children.
• You keep your rights in your files. You allow us to process them only to provide the service.
• We delete subtitle files from our server 7 days after upload.

5. Plans and payment

• Each plan includes a number of films per month. Unused films do not carry over to the next month.
• A film that fails to translate is not counted.
• You can pay by bank transfer into ANCCONNECT LIMITED's account. Write the payment reference shown on the site in the transfer description. Your plan starts when we confirm that the money has arrived.
• Where card payment is offered, it is processed by Flutterwave. "Pay monthly by card" renews every month until you turn auto-renew off. You can turn it off at any time on the Plan page; your plan then stays active until the end of the paid month.
• A one-month payment, by bank transfer or by card, does not renew.
• Prices include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Payments are not refunded for months already started, except where the law requires it. If you were charged by mistake, contact us within 14 days.

6. Fair use

Do not try to get around plan limits, share an account with others, overload the service, or access other customers' data. We may suspend accounts that do.

7. Liability

We provide the service "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by translation mistakes. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last three months.

8. Changes and closing your account

We may change these terms; we will tell you by email before important changes take effect. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
